Flint Global has taken the third floor on a fully fitted and managed basis and is the latest addition to The Met Building following Avison Young, Anacap, Holcim UK and Select Equity.

Flint Global’s fit out builds on Lazari’s well-established leadership in turnkey delivery on its eight London estates. Across this £3.8 billion portfolio, Lazari has delivered some of the largest turnkey lettings in the market, including new UK headquarters for Diageo (100,000 sq ft), CBRE (150,000 sq ft) and Forsters (50,000 sq ft), as well as for UCL (40,000 sq ft) and Silver Levene (10,000 sq ft) at Maple House.

Lazari’s concept of a high-end turnkey fit out enables new clients to seamlessly transition into a fully furnished office and typically minimises waste. Lazari takes the concept further by embracing the circular economy and reusing furniture and fittings where appropriate.

Taking The Met Building to fully let, Flint Global’s arrival demonstrates the success of Lazari’s stewardship of a key asset in its Tottenham Court Road estate.

Diageo’s turnkey won the National BCO Award for Best Workplace Fit Out 2023 and CBRE’s the BCO London Regional Award for Best Corporate Workplace 2023.

Flint Global welcomed Lazari’s collaborative approach and both parties worked together to create a new HQ with professional space, warm and contemporary reception and hotel-style breakout area.

The agility of Lazari’s team trimmed the programme to three months to meet Flint Global’s deadlines. The project was a double first for contractor Signature London – their first turnkey fit out for Lazari and their first design and build contract. A schedule including out-of-hours and weekend work reduced disturbance for existing tenants.

Flint Global chief operating officer Susan Murphy comments, “Lazari’s approach at The Met Building gives us the balance we want between lease flexibility and high quality professional space with our own imprint. It feels like a bespoke space for Flint and that comes from Lazari’s approach to working in partnership with its customers.”

Lazari’s head of leasing Adrian Crooks comments, “The combination of an iconic structure, excellent interior design and our passion for sustainability is attracting a very high calibre of tenant to The Met Building. Our well-honed turnkey process then enables us to provide a high quality fit out quickly, efficiently and with minimal waste, responding to market demand for this type of product.”

Originally built in 1965 and inspired by New York’s Lever Building, the Met Building was transformed through a comprehensive £30 million redevelopment completed in 2023.
The four-storey podium topped by a 12-storey tower offers 113,835 square feet of office and retail space. The refurbishment introduced over 4,000 square feet of outdoor terraces and the 13th floor Met Lounge with spectacular views across London. The iconic modernist structure now features circadian, low-energy LED lighting, low-energy air ionisation, a lift system that recovers energy and extensive facilities for cyclists.

Flint Global joins The Met Building’s existing tenants Avison Young, AnaCap, Holcim UK, Lapithus, Select Equity, Venrex and Wiggin LLP.
