Our Directors

Lazari Investments is led by four Executive Directors, Len Lazari, Nicholas Lazari, Andrie Lazari and David Silverman. Having spent a collective total of 77 years in leadership roles, the Lazaris have been involved in every aspect of the Lazari business. To this, David Silverman brings many years of experience in the property investment market and the wider industry.

Len Lazari
Len Lazari

Len joined the family business in 1989 and has played a pivotal role in the leadership and growth of the various Groups since. His wide remit includes overseeing the retail portfolio, as well as formulating and implementing acquisitions, growth, tax, and diversification strategies. He has managed the litigation function of the business and led on key developments, including The Lantern and the former Fenwick Department Store. Len brings deep business knowledge to every facet of the company, with creative entrepreneurial flair grounded by experience through various business cycles.

Nicholas Lazari
Nicholas Lazari

Nicholas joined Lazari in 1995 after working for a firm of surveyors. He plays a focal role in nearly every aspect of the business, including the office portfolio, asset management strategy, acquisitions, leasing, and developments. Notable projects under his leadership include Henrietta House, 16 Great Marlborough St, and 25 Berkeley Square. He oversees financial administration, day-to-day operations, and recent refinances. His analytical understanding and broad property knowledge are integral to Lazari's performance. Nicholas sits on the Owner Board of the Baker St Quarter Partnership BID.

Andrie Lazari

Andrie joined Lazari in 2001, playing a key role in its growth. Known for her innovative approach and creative asset management, she fosters collaboration and tenant engagement. She expanded the Company’s financing, securing capital to drive growth while aligning partnerships with values. Andrie led the refinancing strategy post-2007 financial crisis, navigating challenges in the post-Brexit and COVID-19 periods. Andrie identified key property acquisitions for expansion of Estates. She oversees asset management of the Tottenham Court Road Estate. Andrie blends caution with a drive for growth.

David Silverman
David Silverman

David joined Lazari in September 2022 after a 20-year career at Derwent London plc, where he was a Main Board Director for 14 years. Integral to Derwent’s success, he brings decades of expertise to Lazari. David oversees the Group’s acquisition and sales strategy, aiming to expand the portfolio and explore new trends and diversification opportunities. He is jointly leading with Len on the Fenwick development and establishing a master plan for Oxford Street. David is also a past Chairman of the Westminster Property Association.

Corporate & Asset Management

Tom Williams
Tom Williams
Statutory Director, Lazari Investments Management Ltd

Tom joined in November 2007, bringing decades of experience in both private and quoted property sectors. He oversees all aspects of asset management, including client liaison, managing the building management team, external contractors, and support staff. His role involves building strong tenant relationships and handling refurbishment projects, leasing, rent reviews, valuations, property sales and acquisitions, as well as bank liaison and reporting. Tom became a Statutory Director of the management business within the Group in December 2023.

Christos Lazari

Head of Property Management and Senior Asset Manager

Christos joined in 2017 after a term as a Graduate Surveyor in the West End. He now leads the group's Property Management function while also playing a key role in asset management deals within the Mayfair portfolio. He has led major refurbishments, including the reception upgrade at 23 Savile Row, and advises on future operations for new developments. In addition, he drives technology initiatives, overseeing infrastructure upgrades and innovation to futureproof the business. Working with Executive Directors, his remit is set to grow into an executive position.

Adrian Crooks

Consultant - Leasing

Adrian joined Lazari as a consultant in 2019 having gained an in-depth knowledge of the market as JLL’s Head of West End Office Disposal Team, and Leasing Director at Land Securities. He advises on and oversees all leasing functions for the Group. This starts from the inception of each project to include reporting on future market requirements and liaising with external agency teams, as well as a comprehensive involvement as the design progresses. His specialist insight and forward-thinking has helped Lazari create a best-in-class, future-proofed portfolio.

Jonathan Spencer
Jonathan Spencer
Head of Operations

Jonathan joined Lazari in September 2023, bringing a decade of experience as a Tier 1 City real estate lawyer and more recently he was responsible for front office operations at a European private equity real estate manager. His role is to assist the Board with the management and operation of the Group’s third-party senior debt and the wider finance function. Jonathan also reports on legal matters. He is increasingly involved in the adoption of the Group’s tax strategy and specific asset management and transaction initiatives.

Charles Howard
Charles Howard
Head of Portfolio and Strategic Projects

Charlie joined Lazari in 2022, focusing on asset management, redevelopment, and leasing of the core Mayfair portfolio. Having previously worked for Grosvenor Estates and BNP Paribas, he has been involved in the London office market since 2004. He is a member of the British Council for Offices and has been Chairman of the West End Office Agents Society twice. He promotes innovation for revenue enhancement, customer service and sustainability. On behalf of Lazari, he has recently joined the Board of The Westminster Property Association and the steering group for the New West End Company.

David Smith
David Smith
Senior Asset Manager

David joined Lazari in 2016, following previous stints at Cadogan Estates and Redevco, to help oversee the retail portfolio and particularly, the Oxford Street Estate and Brunswick Shopping Centre. He is currently leading on initiating a recent planning consent to build a 207-bedroom Hub by Premier Inn hotel in the basement car park of the Brunswick. His remit has expanded over time to also include the Wigmore Street Estate and the Group’s growing medical holdings. David is a board member of the Harley Street BID. He brings in-depth retail and asset management expertise to the portfolio.

Marios Lazari
Marios Lazari
Property and Asset Manager

Marios joined Lazari in 2019 and has become a key member of the asset and property management team. His role includes managing most of the North London portfolio, overseeing Group-wide maintenance contracts, and supporting specific refurbishment and development projects. These include a new nine-apartment residential scheme and a potential 114-bedroom hotel in Camden. Recently, Marios was appointed Property Manager and Assistant Asset Manager for 25 Berkeley Square. His role is expected to expand further, preparing him for a future Executive Director position.

John Kent

Consultant - Special Advisor to the Board

After a long and illustrious career stemming from 1976, including becoming a founding partner of CBRE in 1999 (and later, an Executive Director and Trustee of the firm’s pension schemes), John retired from CBRE in 2020 and became a Special Advisor to Lazari. John’s experience lies in investment, development, agency and lease consultancy. He sits on the CBI London Council and advises the Board on wider macro–economic, political and property trends whilst continuing to assist through his extensive network of contacts on large transactions

Steve Harris
Steve Harris
Consultant – Management Structure and Strategy

Steve joined as a consultant in 2021 following a long and established career at Coca Cola and thereafter, as an Executive of Diageo Plc. He brings with him vast experience in managing and overseeing corporate structures. He has helped adopt a five-year strategic master plan, a code of conduct for the business and regularly oversees town halls to communicate future direction. He has also acted as a life coach to key individuals within the Group.

Angelos Lazari

Property Manager, Corporate Compliance and Loan Servicing Officer

Angelos joined in 2022 whilst simultaneously undertaking a master’s degree in Global Finance and Banking. With a keen interest in financial management and banking, it is intended that his remit in the business grows to include corporate governance, financial management, as well as taking a lead role in Lazari Financial Holdings Group. He has also been assisting in the property management function within the Tottenham Court Road Estate.

Head of Residential and Property Manager

Chris joined Lazari in 2016, initially as a building manager within the Tottenham Court Road Estate. Thereafter, he was brought into Head Office to run our residential portfolio, focusing on all elements of leasing, health and safety, management and credit control. He also has an increasingly important function in assisting on the management of some of our commercial buildings.

John Themis
John Themis
Consultant – Marketing and Corporate Functions

John joined Lazari as a consultant in 2019. He has a background as an accomplished musical composer and producer. Having previously studied marketing, he advises and oversees the promotion of the Brunswick shopping centre, organising various events and functions throughout the year, as well as the running of the art gallery situated there. He also leads in arranging all corporate events. It is envisaged that John will have an expanded role as the Group rolls out its enhanced amenity, food and beverage and conferencing offerings throughout the portfolio.

George Attens

Consultant – Insurance Advisor

George had served as a long-standing employee of the business for over 30 years, leading on property management including insurance tenders and claims. Since his retirement in 2017, he has been retained in an advisory capacity to deal specifically with insurance matters and renewals.

Julian Becerra

Facilities Manager

Julian joined Lazari in 2024 to bolster the property management team. He was previously a Facilities Manager at Mitie. He has quickly established an important role in the Group as a liaison between tenants/clients and building managers, and the monitoring of external maintenance suppliers. Julian has a client focused approach.

Eleni Constantinou
Eleni Constantinou
Estates Supervisor

Eleni joined Lazari from its formation in 1976. She now acts as a supervisor liaising with our on-site building managers, together with her leading and overseeing on various facilities management functions. She also manages the internal Lazari day-to-day building and small works team. She is a trusted officer of the Group, liaising closely with the Executive Directors.

Construction, Development & Sustainability

Melvyn Hale

Group Director of Developments

Melvyn joined Lazari in January 2018 after a 30-year career in senior management and property roles at Vodafone, Prudential, and Mishcon de Reya. He leads the Group’s development function and team, overseeing major schemes with an unblemished planning record and delivering award-winning projects. Melvyn also manages the Group’s sustainability, circular economy, and research initiatives. He recently founded the CDT (Circular Do Tank), bringing together esteemed industry members to promote circular sustainable practices in construction.

Duncan Bower

Director of Developments

An architect with over 30 years of experience managing high-profile developments, including Westfield White City, Duncan joined Lazari in March 2023. He acts as the internal Development Manager for the redevelopment of the former Fenwick Department Store, the Group’s largest project by anticipated GDV. Duncan is involved in every aspect of this high-profile scheme, collaborating with Foster + Partners and the professional team to deliver an extraordinary building on an accelerated timeline, securing planning consent within 15 months of purchasing the site.

Mario Demetriou

Consultant - Engineering and Sustainability (Lazari ESG)

Mario joined Lazari in October 2021 following over 20 years as Director of a large M&E maintenance and contracting company. He has since advised on and overseen the creation and implementation of our market-leading sustainability development framework and circular economy matrix. His team is also responsible for delivering the Group’s carbon net-zero operational target by 2035. Mario also advises on all specialist M&E design and co-ordination functions as necessary, as well as acting as Project Manager for two ongoing refurbishments.

Project Manager

Tom joined Lazari in January 2020 to assist the construction team with all aspects of development procurement, management, and post-development processes and transition. This includes overseeing the vetting of all contracting parties, rollout of scope, contract terms and conditions, and establishing the Lazari reporting strategy for each development, while focusing on future projects in the pipeline.

Gosia joined Lazari in 2023 in a support role to assist in the implementation of the sustainability development matrix and the roll out of our carbon zero targets within the operational portfolio. This includes the monitoring and management of utilities.

Chris Skarparis
Chris Skarparis
Consultant – Tax, Audit & Accounting

Chris is a Fellow Chartered Accountant and started advising Lazari in 1996. As a trusted advisor, he oversees the financial reporting and audit process. He also helps to formulate the Group’s taxation strategy. Chris brings a wealth of experience in the real estate sector, superimposed over a vast knowledge of the Group and its history. Outside Lazari, Chris owns and runs a successful North London based accountancy practice.

Mandeep Kalsi

Head of Finance

Mandeep is a Fellow Chartered Certified Accountant and is the Group’s Financial Controller responsible for the financial management of the business. Mandeep joined us in June 2021 after over 25 years as a highly experienced Finance Director leading business growth and development. In this time, he has spear-headed the transition to a new accounts and property management software system, modernising and enhancing the efficiency of the accounts department. Mandeep is resourceful and results-oriented.

Consultant – Corporate Compliance and Lazari Finance Holdings Ltd

Bill joined Lazari in 2015 after an accomplished, long-serving career at Lloyds Bank Plc where he latterly served as Managing Director of Corporate Real Estate. He initially advised and assisted on the segregation of the business into three separate Groups. He has since performed an important function to advise on corporate governance, KYC and analysing new loan applications within the finance Group, as well as helping to oversee the existing loan book.

Senior Accountant

Petros has been with the company for over 17 years and plays an important role within the accounts and finance department. He fulfils the daily role of monitoring income and expenditure, oversees the sales and purchase team, assists with credit control and leads on producing service charge reconciliations. Petros has a detailed knowledge of the business.

Edan Lawson

Group Management Accountant

Edan is a part-qualified Chartered Certified Accountant. He joined Lazari in 2022 to assist in the preparation of management accounts and the various Groups’ annual audits. Since then, he has become an integral member of the team. It is intended that Edan’s remit will grow over time so that he has a wider and more senior role within the finance department.

Financial Planning Analyst

A Fellow Chartered Certified Accountant with a long experience in finance, Manjri joined Lazari in 2023 to focus and assist on managing detailed cashflows and analyses for each Group member on a short and long-term basis. This assists with the three Groups’ auditing processes and going concern analyses, as well as senior lender’s facility requirements. Manjri is also assisting on tax computations within the annual audit.

Project Finance Manager

Andrew joined Lazari in 2019, initially as a team member assisting in sales and purchase ledgers. For the last three years, his remit has changed to becoming increasingly involved in the production of internal cost schedules for each building project, as well as detailed appraisals and cashflows. It is intended that Andrew’s remit will similarly grow over time.

Accountant / Lender Compliance Officer

Ajesh joined Lazari in 2022 and has an important function in the preparation and implementation of tenancy changes within the accounts department, as well as invoicing. He also oversees the various senior lender’s quarterly compliance requirements.

Assistant within the Accounts and Finance Department

Mansi joined Lazari in 2023. Originally assisting Petros in reconciling income and expenditure including reporting to the Board daily receipts and outflows, her remit has been widened to assist in the preparation of management accounts.

Office Management & Administration

Maria Savva

Office Manager and Head of Administration

Maria has been with the Group since its infancy, now serving over 41 years. She has a multi-faceted and wide remit to include the production of various quarterly schedules and invoicing, a key role in credit control, an important HR and monitoring function as well as acting as Office Manager. She has and continues to provide an invaluable service, working closely with the Executive Directors.

Office Support Staff Member

Maro is one of the few still-serving members of the original business, created by its founders in 1976. She has shown a lifelong commitment and loyalty to the Lazari Board. She still plays a valued role in the smooth running of the day-to-day office hospitality function and is part of the business’ fabric.

Executive PA

A Cambridge University graduate in English, Sarah joined Lazari in 2018. Her initial remit as an Executive PA to Nicholas Lazari has been widened to include a range of administrative and management functions across the business. Sarah has become an indispensable part of the Board’s and Senior Manager’s back-up team. It is anticipated that she will play an increasingly leading role in the administrative function.

After having an initial stint in the Group in 2014 as one of the building’s receptionists, Maria left the company for a year in 2019 only to return a year later as an Executive PA to Len Lazari. Maria’s remit has also been widened to assist on HR and credit control. She too has become an important support member of the Group.

Andrea joined Lazari in 2022 as Nicholas Lazari’s PA, as Sarah’s remit expanded. She works closely with both Sarah as well as other members of the administration team and has established for herself a salient role and function within the Group.
