Creating a charitable legacy
The Christos Lazari Foundation was established as a UK registered charity in July 2017 to promote and continue the philanthropic wishes of the late Christos Lazari as assessed by the Board of Trustees.
Since its formation and up until 31st March 2024, the charity has made donations in excess of £825,000 to over 60 varied causes.
The Foundation was set up with an initial endowment of £4.000m via a donation into the charity made by the Lazari family of a property at 29-33 High Road, Wood Green which comprises three retail units with two three-bedroom apartments above. The property was gifted on an unencumbered basis. Rents received from the property (currently circa. £225,000 per annum) are allocated for the sole purpose of granting donations, with all trustees working on a gratis basis.
The Lazari Family also contributes further charitable donations both privately and through corporate initiatives. For instance, Lazari Investments Ltd has donated over £1.400 million over the past three calendar years, up to 31st December 2024.
